The problem is bigger than too many tabs
Once you use more than one browser, finding a page means remembering its title, browser, window and whether it is still open. Every browser can search its own tabs; none of them naturally becomes the search layer for the whole Mac.
Tab Space moves that boundary outside the browser. Press Option-Tab from any app, type what you remember, and return to the exact open tab—or to a session you saved earlier.
A three-part workflow
1. Find the live tab
Option-Tab searches titles and URLs from supported browsers. Choose a result and Tab Space focuses the original browser, window and tab instead of reopening the URL.
2. Save the context
When a window represents research or a project you want to pause, save it as a named session and close the tabs. Add tags or notes only when they help.
3. Return through the same search
The switcher combines active tabs and saved sessions. You do not need to decide first whether the page is still open or which browser originally held it.
4. Keep an exit route
Sessions live in a native database, sync through your own iCloud, receive automatic snapshots and can be exported as Text, Markdown, HTML or JSON.

The difficult part is reliable return
A basic extension can save URLs and display a searchable list. A dependable cross-browser system also has to handle browser processes, windows, profile changes, permissions, sync conflicts, duplicate URLs, backups and migrations.
- Does selecting a result focus the existing tab, or open a duplicate?
- Does saved data survive an extension reinstall or browser profile problem?
- Can you restore an earlier snapshot after an accidental edit?
- Can you export the complete library without depending on the service?
- Does cross-browser support create one shared library or several isolated ones?
